MONDAY JUNE 1st - NEW MENU GOES LIVE!
Our new monthly changing menu has been honed to perfection and this month's delights include summery salads, fish and chips and our old favourite, the Dartmouth Burger. We will also be offering a wider range of sandwiches which will be available both to eat in and take away. For take away, call us to pre-order for collection or just pop in and read a paper while you wait.

TUESDAY JUNE 2nd - POP QUIZ
Our fantastic pop music quiz, hosted this week by Turning Worm Promotions. Questions on pop music, including a music and picture round. Most fun. 8pm start.

WEDNESDAY JUNE 3rd - FILM NIGHT - KES (1969 Dir. Ken Loach)
Generally considered one of the greats of British cinema, Kes is the story of a young boy with no hope for his future until he takes a kestrel from it's nest and through training and caring for the bird achieves a more positive outlook on his life. It all goes horribly wrong though. Fantastically acted, directed with Loach's unique realist style, terribly heart wrenching. This will be the last Dartmouth Film Night before it goes on summer hiatus. Because who wants to stay inside and watch films when we have the Great British Summer to enjoy?! Film Night will return in September. Any film suggestions or improvement ideas are welcome.

TUESDAY JUNE 9th - QUIZ NIGHT
Another round of the established general knowledge quiz, with the usual excellent questions and bad prizes, and hosted by our very own Nicholas. 8pm start.

TUESDAY JUNE 16th - POP QUIZ
Pop quiz, hosted this week by Ollie. Questions on pop music, including a music and picture round. Most fun, with properly good prizes. 8pm start.

TUESDAY JUNE 23rd - QUIZ NIGHT
Another round of the established general knowledge quiz, with the usual excellent questions and bad prizes. 8pm start.

WEDNESDAY JUNE 24th - SPANISH NIGHT
Postponed from May because we wanted to make it bigger and better; it's gonna be totally Spanish and generally brilliant. We will have a set menu of Spanish appetisers, Paella, and a glass of Sangria all for the bargain price of £15, for which tickets are available in advance (phone us on the number below, reply to this email or just pop in). We will have Spanish and Latino wine and beers, traditional Spanish music playing and Almodovar films screened on the ceiling just for the hell of it. And if you ask Gema nicely (or buy her a Sangria or two) she may even do a dance. Ole.

Our next 'International Night' will be on Saturday July 25th. French Peasant food, wine by the bucketload and Gallic music. More information will follow in July's mail out.

MONDAY JUNE 29th - BOOK CLUB - THE GATHERING (2007) by Anne Enright
The second of our monthly book club meetings, which will now take place religiously on the last Monday of the month. This month the book is Anne Enright's The Gathering. Read it, bring the book and your thoughts to the pub at 8pm and we'll discuss it over some fine booze. All welcome, so even if it's not your thing tell your book loving friends.
